RENEWED FLOODING POSSIBLE ACROSS SOUTH WEST QUEENSLAND FROM LATE THIS WEEKEND INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK

A trough will extend over western Queensland from Friday, deepening on the weekend and drawing tropical moisture southwards to enhance rainfall. The trough will drift slowly east next week.

Catchments within the Flood Watch area are relatively dry.

Widespread rainfall is forecast within the Flood Watch area over the weekend into next week.

River level rises and minor riverine flooding are possible within the Flood Watch area from late this weekend into early next week, with isolated moderate flooding possible.

Catchments likely to be affected include:
Bulloo River (QLD)

Barcoo River

Thomson River

Cooper Creek

Diamantina River

Georgina River and Eyre Creek
