Severe thunderstorms developing over the far northwest of South Australia.

Weather Situation:A trough of low pressure extends from Western Australia's South Interior to north west South Australia and combines with a hot and unstable air mass to produce severe thunderstorms with damaging wind gusts over the North West Pastoral district. A southerly surge associated with the trough is also enhancing thunderstorm activity. Thunderstorms are moving towards the east and may tend more towards the northeast if they become organised.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging wind gusts in the warning area over the next several hours.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Move cars under cover or away from trees.
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
