Extreme Fire Danger is forecast for the following fire weather districts:
Mallee, Northern Country, North Central, South West and Central
Weather Situation

Moderate to fresh and gusty north to northeasterly winds, tending fresh to strong and gusty north to northwesterly over western districts in the afternoon, ahead of a moderate west to southwesterly change extending over western districts during the early evening and reaching central districts later. Hot with temperatures well above average across the State and dry much of inland parts. The chance of high-based, dry and gusty thunderstorm over western and south central districts from the early morning. Isolated thunderstorms developing over the West and South Gippsland, with the risk of damaging wind gusts during the afternoon and evening. Isolated showers extending over southern districts from the west during the morning, and contracting to the east during the evening.
