Emergency Warning - Flagstone Rd, Legume (Tenterfield LGA)

A bush fire is burning in Flagstone Road, Legume. The fire has burnt more than 1,064 hectares and is out of control.

Current Situation

The fire is burning in the vicinity of Flagstone Road and Koreelah Creek Road, Legume.

A strong south westerly wind change crossed the fire ground overnight the fire ground. The fire is now moving in a north easterly direction towards Mount Lindsey Road and Oaky Hill.

Advice

Residents in the area should seek shelter as the fire approaches.

Take shelter in a solid structure when the fire front arrives. Protect yourself from the heat of the fire.

If you are caught in the path of the fire, you may die or be injured.
