EMERGENCY WARNING - Stockyard Flat (Walcha LGA)

A bush fire is burning in the Stockyard Flat, Spur Trail, Yarrowitch, Oxley Wild River National Park area. The fire is currently 1,070 hectares in size and is being controlled.

Current Situation

There is an increase in fire activity on the southern edge of the fire.

The fire is moving east towards the Warnes River area.

Advice

People in the area of Blomfield Road should seek shelter as the fire approaches. Protect yourself from the heat of the fire.

Check and follow your Bush Fire Survival Plan. If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes. Leaving early is your safest option.
