A bush fire is burning in the Crowdy Bay National Park area. The fire is currently 221 hectares in size and is being controlled.

Current Situation

The fire is burning on the western side of Cattai Creek, within the Crowdy Bay National Park.

The fire has crossed the Harrington Road near the caravan park and is burning in an easterly direction towards Pretoria Pd Harrington Waters.

Harrington Rd has been closed.

Advice

Residents in Harrington are advised to seek shelter as the fire approaches to protect yourself from the heat of the fire.

Homes can offer safety.

Conditions are changing. Continue to monitor the situation and follow your bush fire survival plan.
