EMERGENCY WARNING - Bills Crossing Crowdy (Mid-Coast LGA)

A bush fire is burning in the Crowdy Bay National Park area. The fire is currently 1,750 hectares in size and is out of control.

Current Situation

The fire has broken containment lines on the northern side of the fire.

The fire is moving east towards the coast.

Bakers Road, Crowdy Bay Road and other local roads are closed.

Smoke may be visible in the Crowdy Bay area.

Advice

If you are in the area of Bakers Road and Bakers Trail, seek shelter as the fire approaches and to protect you from the heat of the fire.

Check and follow your Bush Fire Survival Plan. If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes. Leaving early is your safest option.
