Watch and Act - Bills Crossing Crowdy (Mid-Coast LGA)

A bush fire is burning in the Crowdy Bay National Park area. The
fire is currently 2,077 hectares in size and is being
controlled.
Current Situation
The fire has burnt across to the coast and continues to burn. It
is moving in a southerly direction towards Crowdy Head Road and
north towards Kylie Road.
The fire is continuing to spread and fire activity is
increasing.
Advice
If you are in the areas of Harrington or Crowdy Head, monitor
conditions and know what you will do if the fire approaches.
Check and follow your Bush Fire Survival Plan. If you do not have
a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes. Leaving
early is your safest option.
Diamond Head camping area is closed.
Kylies Beach is currently closed.
Other Information
Evacuation Centres have been opened in Club Taree (121 Wingham
Road Taree) and Tuncurry Bowling Club 21 Parkes Street Tuncurry.
People wishing to self evacuate are asked to register online at
Register Find Reunite https://register.redcross.org.au/ before
attending the evacuation centre. The Centres will close at 9pm and
open again on Friday November 8 at 9am.
