Watch and Act - Toorumbee Complex fires (formerly Jacobs Spur and Armidale Road fires, Kempsey LGA)

A bush fire is burning in the Willi Willi area, west of Kempsey. The fire has burnt more than 49,000 hectares and is out of control.

Current Situation

A number of fires have joined in the area around Bellbrook. The Toorumbee Complex fires includes the Jacobs Spur and Armidale Road fires.

The fire is burning in the area of Bellbrook, Hickeys Creek and Willawarrin on the southern side of the Armidale Road.

Overnight a southerly change saw a decrease in fire activity.

Firefighters continue working to protect properties and slow the spread of the fire.

Advice

If you are in the areas of Bellbrook, Willi Willi or Carrai Road, monitor conditions. Put your bush fire survival plan into action.

If you do not have a bush fire survival plan, know what you will do if the fire threatens.
