Weather Situation
Severe fire dangers are forecast for southwestern parts of the
Darling Downs and Granite Belt district on Saturday.
A surface trough will move across southern Queensland during
Friday and Saturday, entering the Maranoa and Warrego district
around midnight Friday. By Saturday evening it will be located
across the central Darling Downs. Hot, dry and fresh northwesterly
winds will be ahead of the trough, and cooler, dry and moderate
southwesterly winds behind.
