Weather Situation
A fresh burst of hot, dry westerly winds will maintain Severe fire
dangers in the Darling Downs and Granite Belt for the next few
hours. Thunderstorms north of the Darling Downs and Granite Belt
this afternoon may produce dry lightning and gusty winds.
Hot, dry and windy westerly winds are again expected on Saturday
and will result in Severe fire dangers continuing in the Darling
Downs and Granite Belt district.
Thunderstorms are possible in the far north of the Darling Downs
and Granite Belt in the afternoon, bringing the risk of lightning
as an ignition source for new fires. Further, thunderstorms may
produce gusty and erratic winds.
