Weather Situation:
A vigorous cold front over far southwestern Queensland will move rapidly eastwards through today. Strong to locally damaging northwest to westerly wind gusts are expected to develop through this afternoon as the front approaches.

Damaging winds, with peak gusts of around 95km/h, are expected to develop through the warning area during the early afternoon today, and continue through until late afternoon or early evening.

Locations which may be affected include Goondiwindi, St George, Hebel, Bollon, Mungindi and Dirranbandi.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should:
* Move your car under cover or away from trees.
* Secure loose outdoor items.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
