Localised squally winds overnight.

Weather Situation: A vigorous cold front will move across the warning area this evening with strong and squally westerly winds developing and continuing overnight.

Strong and squally winds may be locally damaging with gusts in excess of 90 km/h this evening and early Friday. Damaging winds will be short-lived and are more likely to occur near and within several hours following the passage of the front.

Isolated thunderstorms are also possible and may produce damaging wind gusts.

Locations which may be affected include Adelaide, Mount Barker, Port Pirie, Maitland, Murray Bridge, Burra and Peterborough.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.
