Severe storm near Mt Mee, heading east towards Caboolture and Bribie Island.

Weather Situation:
The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 12:40 pm, severe thunderstorms were detected on the weather radar near Mount Mee. These thunderstorms are moving towards the east. They are forecast to affect Caboolture, Wamuran and Woodford by 1:10 pm and Bribie Island, waters off Bribie Island, Beerburrum and northern Bribie Island by 1:40 pm.
Damaging winds and large hailstones are likely.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should:
* Move your car under cover or away from trees.
* Secure loose outdoor items.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
