Strong and gusty south to southwesterly winds developing tonight.

Weather Situation: A strong cold front will cross Victoria during Sunday afternoon and evening.

DAMAGING WINDS, averaging 50 to 60 km/h with peak gusts of around 90 km/h are forecast to develop across western parts of the warning area tonight before contracting to central areas during the early hours of Monday.

DAMAGING WINDS are then expected to contract to coastal and elevated parts of eastern Victoria during Monday morning then to the far southeast by Monday afternoon before easing below warning threshold at night.

Locations which may be affected include Warrnambool, Portland, Melbourne, Wonthaggi, Frankston and Falls Creek.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
* Secure or put away loose items around your house, yard and balcony;
* Keep clear of fallen power lines;
