Squally winds over the southwest and about the ranges.
Strong and gusty northerly winds developing today mainly over
elevated areas.
DAMAGING WINDS, averaging 60 to 70 km/h with peak gusts of around
90 km/h are possible today about parts of western and central
Victoria, mainly about elevated areas
.
Winds are expected to peak over the southwest during the early
afternoon with another peak expected tonight.
Locations which may be affected include Hamilton, Warrnambool,
Portland, Kyneton, Ballarat and Daylesford.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
* Secure or put away loose items around your house, yard and
balcony;
* Keep clear of fallen power lines;
