Weather Situation: A strong surface boundary has triggered thunderstorms in a favourable environment about the south of the Territory this afternoon. These storms are expected to move north-east throughout the afternoon.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds and large hailstones in the warning area over the next several hours.

* secure loose outside objects
* ensure pets and animals are safe
* avoid remaining in the open when storms threaten
