FLOODING EXPECTED IN PARTS OF THE GULF OF CARPENTARIA AND WESTERN CAPE YORK PENINSULA CATCHMENTS FROM FRIDAY

The monsoon trough lies through the Gulf of Carpentaria and western Cape York Peninsula and will deepen over coming days. Tropical Cyclone Lincoln is currently situated in the southwestern Gulf on Friday and is expected to move to the southwest and make landfall during Friday across the southern Gulf of Carpentaria coast.
