MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE ACROSS PARTS OF THE NORTH TROPICAL COAST FROM WEDNESDAY

Moderate to locally heavy rainfall is forecast across parts of the North Tropical Coast from late Tuesday. The most significant rainfall is likely to occur overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, and again overnight Wednesday into Thursday.

Minor flooding is possible within the Flood Watch area from late Wednesday morning. Heavy rainfall may also cause localised flash flooding and disruption to transport routes.

Catchments across the Flood Watch area remain relatively wet following repeated rainfall events over the last month, and will respond quickly to further rainfall.

Daintree River
(Including the Bloomfield River)

Mossman River

Mulgrave and Russell Rivers

Tully River

Murray River

Herbert River
