Severe thunderstorms with damaging wind gusts continue in the far northwest.

Weather Situation: A surface trough extends through the Northwest Pastoral into the Western Australia interior, with a line of severe storms heading towards the east. Severe storms are likely to continue for the next one to two hours.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Ernabella and Amata.

Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the North East Pastoral district and the warning for this district is CANCELLED.

101 km/h wind gust was recorded at Oodnadatta Airport at 6:10 pm.

91 km/h wind gust was recorded at Coober Pedy Airport at 3:59 pm.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Move cars under cover or away from trees.
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
