Heavy rainfall possible in thunderstorms through the northwest this evening.

Weather Situation: Thunderstorms are triggering in a very moist airmass along a surface trough this evening. These may become severe with heavy rainfall through the northwest of the state.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include parts of the Great Victoria Desert.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Don't drive, ride or walk through flood water.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
