Heavy rainfall with thunderstorms across parts of southeastern
South Australia.
Weather Situation: A trough and cold front move through the south
of the state today, generating thunderstorms. A very humid airmass
ahead of these systems brings the risk of heavy rainfall with
thunderstorms.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may
lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several
hours. Locations which may be affected include Whyalla, Port
Augusta, Port Pirie, Hawker, Jamestown and Burra.
41 mm has been recorded at Port Augusta in the 6 hours to 10:00
am
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Don't drive, ride or walk through flood water.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
