Risk of destructive winds has eased through the Northwest Pastoral.

Weather Situation: A humid and very unstable airmass is combining with a surface trough to lead to the development of severe thunderstorms across the west and central parts of SA this afternoon, potentially continuing into the evening.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Whyalla, Port Augusta, Port Pirie, Roxby Downs, Jamestown and Woomera.

Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the West Coast district and the warning for this district is CANCELLED.

A 153KM/H WIND GUST WAS RECORDED AT WOOMERA AT 5:24PM

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Move cars under cover or away from trees.
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Don't drive, ride or walk through flood water.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
