Current Situation: Tasmania Fire Service has issued a
Bushfire
Watch and Act for
Seven Mile Beach -
Avoid the area.There is a fire at
Seven Mile Beach. The fire is travelling towards
Sandy Point and is impacting now. The fire is expected to
difficult to control.Embers, smoke, and ash may threaten you and
your home before the main fire. It may become difficult to see and
breathe.Tasmania Fire Service is attending.Conditions are expected
to be changeable.Take action now to protect yourself, your family,
and your home.If you have a bushfire plan, check it now.Decide
early if you are going to leave, and make sure you have a clear
path to a safer place.If you are not prepared for a bushfire, be
ready to leave for a safer place. If you stay, your home may not be
defendable.
