Heavy falls occurring in the southeast.

Weather Situation: Localised heavy showers and thunderstorms are occurring ahead of a cold front.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Orford, Dodges Ferry and Bagdad.

Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Upper Derwent Valley and Central Plateau districts and the warning for these districts is CANCELLED.

26.5 mm was recorded at Campania (Kincora) in 2 hours to 5:30 pm.

20.2 mm was recorded at Nugent in 30 minutes to 5:56 pm.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Avoid driving, walking or riding through flood waters.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
