-There is a bushfire at 25km west of Walwa that is not yet under control.
-This warning is for the east of Mt Lawson State Park.
-The bushfire is travelling within the Mt Lawson National Park in a south-easterly direction.
-Predicted weather conditions are likely to make firefighting challenging. Please consider moving stock to a safe and defendable location as conditions can change rapidly without notice.
-This Watch and Act replaces the 'Watch and Act - Monitor Conditions' that was issued this morning at 5:53am.

The situation can change at any time. You must monitor conditions and be ready to act.

What you should do:

-Enact your fire survival plan.
-Move stock early if possible.
-Defending a house requires: At least two fit and determined adults who are physically and mentally prepared to work long and hard in arduous and difficult conditions. At least 10,000 litres of water (not from mains supply which can fail during a fire). Protective clothing. Appropriate firefighting hoses and pumps.
-If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes.
-If you have time, check your neighbours to see if they are monitoring conditions.
-Protect yourself and your family.
-If you are currently driving slow down and turn on your headlights. Smoke will make it difficult to see.

Remember to:

-Take your pets, medications, mobile phone and charger.
-Many people have died trying to leave at the last minute during fires.
-Travel to the home of family or friends that are away from the warning area.

Impacts in your area:
