Flood Watch Number: 2

MINOR FLOODING WITH ISOLATED MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE FROM MONDAY EVENING

A low in the Tasman Sea is forecast to track towards Bass Strait during Monday and Tuesday, with a series of associated troughs crossing Victoria. This will bring showers, tending to rain, across the flood watch area.

Catchments in the Flood Watch area are relatively wet.

48 hour rainfall totals of up to 60 to 90 mm are possible Monday and Tuesday across the Flood Watch area.

River level rises and minor flooding may develop across the Flood Watch area from Monday evening. Isolated moderate flooding is possible in the Latrobe River catchment.

Catchments likely to be affected include:
Mitchell River

Avon River

Macalister River

Thomson River

Latrobe River

Traralgon Creek

South Gippsland Rivers

Bunyip River and Dandenong Creek

Yarra River to Coldstream

Otway Coast

Goulburn River Eildon to Seymour
(For the Acheron and Yea Rivers)

The Bureau of Meteorology is continuing to monitor the situation and will issue catchment specific warnings as required.
