Issued: 31 Dec 2025 12:15 PM

A Bushfire Watch and Act is in place for people bounded by Willmott Drive, Ennis Avenue, Jurien Close, The Ave, Ambleside Parade, Harrington Waters Drive, Santa Monica Drive and Gnangara Drive in parts of WAIKIKI and WARNBRO in the CITY OF ROCKINGHAM.

There is a possible threat to lives and homes as a fire is burning in the area and conditions are changing.

WHAT TO DO

Stay alert and monitor your surroundings as conditions could change.

Keep your doors and windows closed to keep out smoke.

Turn off evaporative air conditioners, but keep water running through the system if possible to prevent embers entering your home.

Continue to patrol your property and be ready to put out spot fires.

The bushfire is currently moving slowly in a south-westerly direction.

A lot of smoke will be visible throughout the warning areas over the next few hours while firefighters conduct backburning activities.

It is contained but not controlled.
