Headline:
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Lincoln expected to re-develop tonight,
impacts for the west Pilbara and northern Gascoyne coast Friday and
Saturday.

Mardie to Roebourne, including Karratha and Dampier.
Details of Ex-Tropical Cyclone Lincoln at 2:00 pm AWST:
Intensity: Tropical Low, sustained winds near the centre of 55
kilometres per hour with wind gusts to 85 kilometres per
hour.
Location: within 45 kilometres of 16.6 degrees South 119.3 degrees
East, estimated to be 420 kilometres north of Port Hedland and 525
kilometres north northeast of Karratha.
Movement: west southwest at 21 kilometres per hour.
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Lincoln is north of the Pilbara coast. The
system will move to the west southwest and develop, likely reaching
tropical cyclone intensity tonight. It will then turn to the
southwest towards the far west Pilbara coast while developing
further. On Saturday the system is most likely to cross the far
west Pilbara or upper Gascoyne coast and weaken as it moves inland
on Sunday.
Hazards:
GALES with DAMAGING WIND GUSTS of 100 km/h may develop Friday
morning between Mardie and Ningaloo, and become more likely during
Saturday. The risk of GALES with DAMAGING WIND GUSTS of 100km/h
extends to between Ningaloo and Carnarvon, including Carnarvon,
Friday evening, this risk continues during Saturday. GALES with
DAMAGING WIND GUSTS of 100 km/h may extend further south between
Carnarvon and Wooramel Roadhouse during Saturday morning.
DESTRUCTIVE WIND GUSTS to 140 km/h are also possible near the
centre of the system on Saturday.
HEAVY RAINFALL is likely to be confined to near the path of the
cyclone, developing about the western Pilbara as the cyclone
approaches the coast from late Friday, and then spreading
southwards into the western Gascoyne as the system moves south on
Saturday.
ABNORMALLY HIGH TIDES near the path of the system could cause
MINOR FLOODING at the coast between Mardie and Wooramel
Roadhouse.
Recommended Action:
DFES advises of the following community alerts:
BLUE ALERT: is current for people in or near coastal communities
and offshore islands between Mardie and Wooramel. Although there is
no immediate danger you need to start preparing for cyclonic
weather, commence implementing your cyclone plan and organise an
emergency kit including first aid kit, torch, portable radio, food
and water.
ALL CLEAR: Roebourne through to Mardie not including Mardie.
