For Saturday 24 January:

Catastrophic Fire Danger is forecast for the following fire weather districts:
Eastern Eyre Peninsula and Yorke Peninsula

Extreme Fire Danger is forecast for the following fire weather districts:
North West Pastoral, North East Pastoral, West Coast, Lower Eyre Peninsula, Flinders, Mid North, Mount Lofty Ranges, Kangaroo Island, Riverland, Murraylands, Upper South East and Lower South East

Weather Situation
Fresh to strong and gusty north to northwesterly winds coupled with very hot and dry conditions will drive Extreme to Catastrophic fire dangers across the state on Saturday. A fresh and gusty south to southwesterly change will move over southern and central parts in the afternoon and evening. Possible thunderstorms with little to no rainfall over the North West Pastoral district, bringing the risk of dry lightning.
