Coast, Flinders, Lower South East and North West Pastoral
districts.

Damaging winds easing over inland parts this evening, continuing
over southern coastal areas into Tuesday.
Weather Situation: A cold front with vigorous northwesterly flow
ahead of it is currently near Ceduna. This front is forecast to
cross the state this evening, clearing to the east of Adelaide just
after midnight. A vigorous west to southwesterly airstream is
forecast to develop behind the front over southern coastal areas
into Tuesday morning as a low pressure system passes to the south
of Kangaroo Island overnight.
Strong northwesterly winds averaging 50 to 60 km/h with DAMAGING
WIND GUSTS of around 90 km/h are possible throughout the warning
area until later this evening, with the risk of DAMAGING WIND GUSTS
continuing overnight over southern coastal areas including the West
Coast, Lower Eyre Peninsula, Kangaroo Island, Fleurieu Peninsula,
and southern parts of the Yorke Peninsula in the gusty west to
southwesterly airstream behind the front. DAMAGING WIND GUSTS are
forecast to spread to the Lower South East by mid Tuesday morning
as they ease over areas further west, and are expected to finally
ease below warning thresholds during Tuesday afternoon.
Locations which may be affected include Port Lincoln, Ceduna,
Maitland, Kingscote, Wudinna and Cleve.
Sustained winds of 63 km/h were recorded at Wudina around
12:30pm.
Sustained winds of 63 km/h were recorded at Port Augusta around
12:30 pm.
Sustained winds of 63 km/h were recorded at Kadina around 12:30
pm.
Sustained winds of 70 km/h were recorded at Minlaton Airport
around 12:15 pm.
A 93 km/h wind gust was recorded at Minlaton Airport at 12:03
pm.
Sustained winds of 64 km/h were recorded at Cleve around 10:00
am.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are
severe.
