AREAS OF FLOODING LIKELY OCCURRING IN SOUTHERN AND SOUTH EAST CATCHMENTS

MINOR TO MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING IN THE NORTH EAST

A low pressure system to the southeast of Tasmania may bring further moderate to heavy rainfall in southern catchments. Responding rapid river, creek and rivulet rises are likely across southern catchments during the remainder of Sunday and into Monday.

Elevated river levels are being observed across southern and southeast catchments with a flood warning current for the Coal River. Minor to moderate flood warnings are also current for several North East catchments.

Catchments across Tasmania are relatively wet following recent rainfall, and catchments may react quickly to further rainfall.

Catchments likely to be affected include:

East Coastal Rivers (south of Bicheno)

South East

Huon River

Channel Coastal Rivers (South East Cape to Gordon)

Flood Warnings are current for the following catchment(s): Coal, Macquarie, Sth Esk and Nth Esk

Flooding is no longer expected in the following catchment(s): East Coastal Rivers north of Bicheno, Arthur, Northwest and Central Coastal, Forth, Mersey, Meander, Tamar (Launceston), Ringarooma and Nth Coastal
