The Department of Fire and Emergency Services advises you to:

Action your Bushfire Survival Plan now.
Monitor the fire and weather situation through your local radio station, www.emergency.wa.gov.au and www.bom.gov.au.
Call 000 (Triple Zero) in an emergency.

For Friday 17 January:

Extreme Fire Danger is forecast for the following fire weather districts:
Karroun, Lockwood, Roe, Lakes, Fitzgerald Coast, Fitzgerald Inland, Esperance Coast and Esperance Inland
Weather Situation

Hot and dry with fresh and gusty north to northwesterly winds ahead of a milder, fresh and gusty west to southwesterly change extending from the west during the day. Showers and Isolated thunderstorms developing well to the west the wind changes. Risk of dry lightning ahead and just on or a few hours behind the wind changes, with little rainfall expected over the fire weather warning areas.
